Homeopathy and Placebo Effect
Is the effect of homeopathy based on "placebo effect"?
This hypothesis was formulated several years ago by people who were ignorant of homeopathy, in an attempt to explain the striking, sometimes therapeutic effects and is now considered obsolete. In addition, we note the following:
- How is it explained that only the homeopathic doctor is able to exercise the placebo effect, and not the other doctors, even when they have qualifications or extensive experience?
- Why the patient is well only when given the appropriate medicine and not any other homeopathic medicine?
- The result that the placebo effect is usually short-term (few hours days or weeks) and not long-term, as the result of the homeopathic treatment.
- Homeopathy has wonderful effects in infants and toddlers and of course nobody can claim to get excercised the placebo effect.
- Veterinary Homeopathy which is widespread abroad but not in our country, has very good results in animals and of course in this case it is impossible to be exercised to the placebo effect.
